McKinney Red, White, and Boom Independence Day Celebration
McKinney’s annual Red, White and BOOM! Independence Day celebration will take place at a new location this year, with festivities moving to Towne Lake Park on Friday, July 4, 2025.
While the main celebration moves to Towne Lake Park, downtown McKinney will continue to host Independence Day events including a hometown parade and the Yankee Doodle block party. Families attending downtown festivities can also explore the area’s dining and shopping options. Check out the parade map at this link, and the deadline to register for the parade is June 19.
Event organizers encourage attendees to bring coolers, blankets, and lawn chairs, though canopies are not allowed. Alcohol and grilling on-site are prohibited, and pets are not permitted at the event. Attendees are asked to be courteous and avoid parking in surrounding neighborhoods.
The city reminds residents that while they can enjoy professional fireworks at Red, White and BOOM!, other fireworks remain illegal within city limits
