Sherman Parks and Recreation Dept. Summer Youth Basketball Camps
Sherman Parks and Recreation is excited to be hosting Summer Basketball Camps!
These camps are designed for the beginner to intermediate player to provide a high-quality training at an affordable cost! The camps are intended to better equip the athlete to participate in both league and school programs. These half day camps will develop and improve basketball skills including defending, shooting, blocking out, rebounding, dribbling skills, and passing. The goal for each camp is to provide a great learning experience in a warm, safe, patient, and most importantly FUN environment for players to improve their skills each week.

Roger Franklin is a former collegiate basketball student-athlete that played his basketball at Oklahoma State University and then The University of North Texas. After graduating, he transitioned to a professional career, playing in leagues in China, Holland, and Luxembourg. He played his high school basketball at the powerhouse of Duncanville High School, in which he was a top player for the State and National Champions.
Coach Franklin has been coaching, training, and developing players ranging in age from Kindergarten to Professional players since 2015 across DFW. Coach Franklin has directed numerous camps, averaging 85-100 campers each week during the summer.
