Fossils

Fossils! Hike to the Past at Eisenhower State Park on Lake Texoma

Will you become a fossil? Join us on this fun hike and find out!

Learn about the fossils that can be found at  Eisenhower State  Park and take a short walk. Together we’ll examine the clues and imagine what Eisenhower was like millions of years ago.

You can bring any fossils you’ve already found, and we’ll work together to identify them! But remember all fossils must remain in the park.

Bring: Sturdy shoes, water, sunscreen

Meet: Armadillo Hill Nature Trailhead

What to expect: A ranger-led hike and game to learn about fossilization. The trail is moderately challenging (some minor elevational changes with highly uneven surfaces). Hike is about half a mile round trip

Good for all ages

Limited day passes are available, pre-purchase your day pass to ensure entry to the event

Adults (age 13 and up) – $5.00

Kids (12 and under) – FREE
