Lake Texoma Area Independence Day Celebrations are as vibrant as they come with festivities like grilling hot dogs on the deck with friends, parades and fabulous on-the-water firework shows. Cartwright, Oklahoma on Hwy 91 across the Hwy from the volunteer fire department . The only place within a hundred miles where you can come and set off your fireworks. You can bring your won fireworks to Fireworks in Colbert City Park, in Colbert, OK. In Texas, it is illegal to shoot off fireworks inside city limits, on Corp of Engineer property, or in State Parks. The only place fireworks are legal is in the county on public property and officials recommend doing so on hard flat surfaces like parking lots or dirt roads. All Lake Texoma Shoreline, including beaches, is Corp of Engineer property.
