Northeast Texas Children’s Museum – a museum just for kids

The Northeast Texas Children’s Museum provides opportunities for a playful and creative learning experience. The Museum’s hands-on exhibits and planned activities serve to enhance and supplement classroom curriculum.

Since beginning in 2002, the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum has invested in providing hands-on, minds-on opportunities for children.

The summer is a busy time at the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum. More than 6,000 people visit the museum over the summer.  Each year new exhibits are added thanks to the donations of local businesses.  Exhibits are also provided by national corporations who fund science and math programs.

A new drive-through bank has just arrived at the Children’s Museum. Cypress Bank is opening a new branch at the Museum. Children will be able to deposit money by a play car. (Hopefully there will be no robberies!) We thank Cypress Bank and look forward to this exciting new exhibit.  The museum offers activities for children and adults that include preschool programs, educational programs, special events and fund-raisers.

Throughout the year, the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum offers special events, activities and summer camps.

Official Best Of recently recognized the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum as the Best Creative Children’s Experience in Texas.

The children’s museum is located at 2501 Highway 50, the NW corner of Culver and Hwy 50, Commerce, TX 75428. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 to 4:30.
