Platter Flats Campground is a Corps of Engineers operated campground on Lake Texoma

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District will begin a phased reopening of USACE recreation areas that were closed due to COVID-19

This campground is scheduled to open May 20, 2020

Day use areas, group shelters, swim beaches and all common use area openings will be based on local health conditions All visitors should call the lake office for information on specific recreation openings ( Campers who have campground reservations beginning May 15-20 at our facilities that are opening will be contacted by the local lake office for a partial or full refund. Campers will be able to make reservations immediately for new reservations that begin May 20, 2020 or after. At this time, first come first serve campsites are not available and all Campground reservations and fees must be made in advance at Social distancing and other restrictions required by local, state and federal authorities to include the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will be in place. Current guidance provided by the CDC can be found here: CDC Parks, Sports, Recreation. If these restrictions cannot be followed recreation areas could be forced to close again. Platter Flats Campgrounds are located on the eastern side of Lake Texoma in the Cross Timbers Region of Oklahoma. Best known for its Equestrian trails, Platter Flats has RV hookups, designated campsites, sanitary dump, restrooms, group shelter, showers, boat ramp, and dock.

Platter Flats offers 26 family campsites with electrical/water hookups, 37 equestrian sites with hookups and 20 equestrian sites without hookups, and horseback riding trails. A day-use group picnic shelter with electricity is available. Other amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers and drinking water

Off Season Camping Information

October 1st through March 31st: Reduced camping will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations). Shower and bathroom facilities will not be open and individual water hookups will only be available through October 31, 2016; after this date campers will need to fill fresh water tanks from the frost free hydrant located near entrance of park. Gate attendants will not be on duty; therefore, camping fees should be paid at the honor vault station. Camping fees will be reduced and are posted at the vault station.
