Theatricks in Sherman Texas

Established in 1985, Theatricks, Sherman Community Players children’s theatre, is comprised of two different aspects: Club Theatricks and Project Theatre. Club Theatricks produces three productions a year and offers three sessions of theatrical workshops, while Project Theatre serves as an educational resource for area schools’ theatre curriculum.

Theatricks offers 3 sessions of theatre workshops in the fall, spring, and summer. These workshops are especially designed to introduce children to theatre arts by helping them to improve skills in concentration, observation, imagination, creativity, and body movement. Each class ends with a small production on the last day of class.

The production will display techniques learned.   Classes are divided by age groups and meet for an hour twice a week for a month in the fall and spring. Summer workshops follow a different schedule.

Theatre in Schools

Developed in 1989, Project Theatre serves as a vital children’s educational resource for the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma region. The primary goal of Project Theatre is to help aid area schools with their theatre curriculum for little or no cost through three distinct and unique programs.
