True Options Pregnancy Center is excited to announce the 8th Annual Turkey Trot 5k & Fun Run/Walk! All proceeds from this event will be given to True Options so that they can continue providing support and resources for women and men in our community.
Join us as we gobble, gallop, and give thanks during this family friendly event! Come join the fun by participating in our 5K race or try to beat the dressed up turkey in our 1 mile family fun run/walk and win a special prize!
The DAWG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of volunteers established in 2014 and dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of pets in need. Since the DAWG’s involvement with the impounded animals in Denison, the euthanasia rate for the City pound has gone from almost 90% to a current SAVE RATE of 98%. We initiated a pre-release spay/neuter program, and we ensure all dogs adopted through our program are microchipped for identification. In our first year we raised enough money to complete the purchase of our beautiful climate-controlled mobile adoption trailer. To keep assisting these animals we desperately need a new shelter facility capable of housing more animals with space for on-site services. Please help us grow our shelter building fund. Help us help those who cannot speak for themselves and have no control over their circumstances. Help us continue to reduce the local pet overpopulation that continues the cycle of unwanted animals.
Prosper Veteran’s 5K & Fun Run on November 11, 2023 at Frontier Park in Prosper Texas.
Come embrace the community comradery and competition of the Prosper Veterans Day 5K & Fun Run! The annual event is a salute to the men and women who have served in our nation’s military. Proceeds benefit the Veterans Memorial, slated for construction at a future date at Frontier Park.
Beginners and athletes of all skill levels are encouraged to register! Runners and walkers, children, stroller-pushing parents, and those who use wheelchairs are welcome to join the fun, as well as friends and families cheering along the route!
Registration fees are $45 for the 5K and $25 for the Fun Run. To guarantee a spot in either race event, please pre-register by November 9.
