Home Hospice Hosts Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Home Hospice Tree Lighting CeremonyThe Auxiliary of Home Hospice of Grayson County is hosting their Annual Light Up A Life Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 28th at 6:30 pm at Kelly Square, in downtown Sherman.  Light Up A Life is our Home Hospice Annual Giving Campaign.  Funds raised go directly toward providing services and care for our terminally-ill patients and their families.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6:30 pm with a reception, short program and refreshments with musical entertainment. A short program follows with recognition and sharing by patients and family members. At the conclusion of the program, a Home Hospice patient or family member will light the Tree of Lights.

Those attending can hang a dove on the tree in honor of someone you admire, in celebration of a special event, or in remembrance of a loved one or colleague. “People touch our lives in many ways and placing a dove on the tree is a special way to remember those people,” said Ruth Summers, Home Hospice Auxiliary President. After the ceremony the tree may be viewed at Kelly Square throughout the Christmas season.

A Home Hospice Auxiliary representative will be sitting at the tree in Kelly Square to accept donations and place doves on the tree during the evening.  You can also purchase doves by going online at www.homehospice.org to use the Light Up A Life donation link and doves will be placed on the tree for you.
