Frank Buck Zoo in Leonard Park
The Frank Buck Zoo is a small zoo of about 30 acres located in Leonard Park in Gainesville, Texas. The handicap and stroller accessible path around the zoo is about a mile long, with an elevated walkway over the kangaroos, giraffes and zebras.
Frank Buck Zoo is home to more than 130 animals featuring .5 acre mixed species African savannah. Visitors see the giraffes at eye level and you can feed them during the public feeding time every day.
The zoo is easy to navigate with youngsters. Plaques are placed at each exhibit.

Camps are Mon.-Fri., 9am-4pm. Features animal encounters, hands-on learning, water activities, snacks, crafts & more. $215 per camper, per week. Register Here
Nature Shuffle: Campers learn how to observe, collect, study & share about the natural world. They will discover a variety of approved nature “treasures” & share in the exchange.
