The Grayson County Courthouse in Sherman Texas is located on the square in downtown Sherman and serves as the home to most government agencies that serve the county. The “square” is formed by one-way traffic on Travis St., Houston St, Crockett St, and Lamar St. Parking is free.
Commercial building line the courthouse square with quaint boutiques and restaurants. Completed in 1936, in Moderne style, the building is constructed of concrete and limestone.
Handicap access is available through the West Side (Crockett Street) entrance which houses a chair lift to the south annex elevator and second floor. Elevators are available in both the main building and south annex.
In addition to the courthouse, you’ll also find the Tax Office, County Clerks Office, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office and the Health Department.
