Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Youth
Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge The Refuge ROCKS! is the monthly program for children at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, with activities for ages 4 – 7 and ages 8 – 12. You can register youth online, friendsofhagerman.com/Youth or by phoning the Refuge, 903 786 2826. Lots of hands-on nature learning and fun! Parent or other responsible adult must accompany children age 6 and younger. Free.
Nature Trails
Grab the camera and hit the trails to observe all the wonders of nature. From birds to bunnies, kids love the adventure of climbing over rocks and exploring.
Butterfly Garden
The new butterfly garden is full of just the right plants to attract butterflies. The Texoma area is in the migratory path of many birds and butterflies.
Special Events
The Friends of Hagerman plan special activities for kids during school breaks and summer vacations. Learning can be fun!
Tram Tours
Hop on the Cardinal Express and tour the refuge. Bring your binoculars! Tours are on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
