Only 36 people are allowed into the last-man-standing competition. Runners have 1 hour to complete a 4.5-mile loop. Every hour the gun will go off to start the new loop. If you finish the loop in an hour, you wait for the gun to go off again before you continue. If you don’t finish within 1 hour or you quit – you’re out and ring the bell.
