Grief Support Group Offered by Home Hospice of Grayson County

Grief Support Group Offered by Home Hospice of Grayson County

Sherman, TX – January 18, 2018

Home Hospice of Grayson & Fannin Counties is excited to announce the return of our six-week
bereavement support groups. Each week the groups will be discussing topics such as “getting
through firsts” and “finding a new normal”. These groups will meet at the Home Hospice office
located at 505 W. Center Street in Sherman.

Experiencing grief after loss is a normal part of life. It can become overwhelming, affecting us
both physically and emotionally. There is no quick fix for our grief but sharing your journey with
others who have experienced the loss of a loved one, can make it easier. Come and join us – you
can attend all sessions or just one if you choose.

The evening group will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursdays starting January 18th, 2018
and continuing on January 25th, February 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd
.
To register for this support group, please contact our office at 903-868-9315. If you’d like
information on individual counseling, please contact Dennis Noblett at 903-868-9315. Home

Remember Lake Texoma 2017 !

Remember Lake Texoma 2017 !

Lake Texoma 2017, What a Year!

Well the 2017 season and year is behind us and it is time to gear up for 2018! 2017 was a great year starting off with the Winter bite in January, February and March…lots of good box fish (fish under 20 inches) and a few good big ones! All the Winter Stripers were caught on swim baits on shallow structure….casting out, reeling slow along the bottom.

As Spring rolled around the striper were a bit elusive at times, but the Sandbass made up for it with great action…at times catching close to 200 fish per trip! Later in the Spring and into Summer, the Sandbass fishing was great and the Striper began to show up more and more. Small keepers of Striper and good sized Sandbass filled the cooler all Summer.  Small swim baits were producing, but the bite was mainly jigging slabs in deeper water.

The arrival of Fall is one of my favorite times of year on Lake Texoma. I was curious where the fish that we had caught in January and February earlier in the year had gone…and they finally showed up. The Fall and Winter bite of 2017 has been off the charts! Numerous 17 to 19 inch fish as well as big fish up to 14 lbs returned to feeding heavily on the abundance of shad we have in Lake Texoma. The fish  are fat and hungry and will continue to feed well into the spawn of 2018 and after.

The fishing on Lake Texoma in 2018 is setting up to be one of the best years in recent times. The lake level is full, the bait population is at an all time high, and the past 3 years of overly successful Striper spawns has loaded the lake with a huge population of Striped Bass! Now is the time to call your guide and get a trip booked on Lake Texoma! There are multiple locations on the lake that offer camping, RV sites, as well as lake cabins for rent.

If you want to catch these beautiful Striped Bass on Lake Texoma, and want the thrill of catching them on artificial lures….I am your man! I will teach you what lures to use and how to use them. I will teach you the proper way to cast. I will also show you the proper way to clean the Striped Bass…one of the best eating fish in any water! I provide all up to date equipment, a large comfortable 26 foot custom boat built just for fishing. I have properly fitting and comfortable life jackets for your kids and yourselves. I am also a currently licensed Coast Guard Captain, which is a requirement for Lake Texoma, making sure your safety is priority one!

I hope you all have a wonderful year this year and look forward to seeing you all on the water!

Tight lines to all!

Capt. Stephen
