Alice in Wonderland: Rise of the Cards

Alice in Wonderland: Rise of the CardsKidz Krew Performing Arts next production will be Alice in Wonderland: Rise of the Cards.  Presented in conjunction with the Bonham Theater, there will be three performances, October 2, 3 and 4, 2015 at the Bonham Auditorium on Main Street.

Written by Creative Arts Center director Lisa Avila, the play was first performed five years ago.  Directing this production will be Sandy Barber.  Some of the original actors will be returning with bigger roles.  Kidz Krew veteran Kati Fortune will play the leading role of Alice.   Other Kidz Krew veterans include Cassidy Barber as the Red Queen, Caleb Cundy is the Mad Hatter, Sebastian Murden as White Rabbit and Rebecca South as the Dodo.

Other Kidz Krew veterans have been cast in the play as well, including, Noah Bell as the Mock Turtle and the Wizard, Meagan Murden as the Dormouse, Claire Fortune as Tweedle Dee and Sabrina LaRue as Tweedle Dum. Rebecca Wilson returns to the stage to play the March Hare.

Several Kidsz Krew newcomers join these veterans in the play.  Charity Little has been cast as Butterfly, the daughter of Caterpillar. Luke Gibbs will be the Executioner.  Savannah Woodard is the Gryphon and Peyton Brownfield is the Cheshire Cat and the King.  Logan Griffith is the Rock and Kenzie McKinney is the Page.  Jessica South, Hayden Neel, Lilly Neel, Tiana Jenkins, Emma Jenkins and Breezy Jenkins will play the parts of cards.  Kyle Proctor, Carly Guadiano, Aidan Fortune and Olivia Fortune are playing the trees.

Performances will be at 7 pm on Oct 2 and 3 and at 2 pm on Oct 4 at the auditorium on Main Street.   Tickets are $10 each for adults, $8 for seniors and students and $5 for children 12 and under.  Tickets will be available in advance at the Creative Arts Center and at the door.  For more information or tickets, contact the Creative Arts Center at (903) 640-2196 or www.creativeartscenter.us or 200 W. 5th in Bonham.
