Easter at The Sherman Museum

Sherman Texas | March 18, 2018

Easter EggsThe Sherman Museum would like to invite the community to celebrate “Easter at Museum” that will include the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny on March 31st.

The event will be divided into sessions with each session being split by age group, and varying activities accordingly. The first session will be from 11am to 12pm, the second session will be from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, with the Easter Bunny making his appearance between 12pm and 1:30pm. Kids will be divided into two age groups, ages 3-7 and ages 8-12. Kids between the ages 3 and 7 will do an Easter craft, an Easter book reading and an egg hunt. The 8-12 age group will compete in an egg and spoon race, have the chance to hit a bunny piñata, and participate in an egg scavenger hunt. Kids from both sessions and age groups will have multiple chances to win Dino Days Tickets for this Summer’s “Dino Days,” the biggest Dino Days yet, which will feature Ivan, the 40 feet long Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Sara, a 20 feet long Triceratops. Children participating in the event will get free admission, and those accompanying the child will receive discounted admission. It is required that children from ages 3-7 be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

“We had a great response at our Christmas event and want to bring the same spirit for Easter,” Interim Director, Brandon Young stated. “It is a great way to bring families across the community together to celebrate, have fun, and learn.”

Space is limited for each session and age group so please reserve your spots today.  For more information, call the museum at 903-893-7623 or visit our website at theshermanmuseum.org.
