Eisenhower State Park Lake Texoma

Eisenhower State Park Lake Texoma, Texas Parks and Wildlife, visitors enjoy camping, group facilities, picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking & biking trails and a park store. Eisenhower State Park offers the Texas Outdoor Family Workshops throughout the year featuring hiking events, nature programs, and the Junior Ranger program. Explorer Packs are available for youngsters.
Eisenhower Campgrounds
The Campsites have tent camping, group camping facilities with a group picnic area, and amphitheater for group use. Other amenities include fishing docks, showers, boat ramp, marina and dump stations. Sandy beaches and swim areas are close by. There is a fishing area, tackle loaning program and a fish cleaning station.

Trails
Eisenhower State Park – Lake Texoma has hiking, biking, OHV, and ATV trails. The ATV trail is .31 miles with varying degrees of difficulty. The biking trails are 2 miles of beginner level and 2 miles of intermediate level (8 miles round trip) over rocky terrain and steep inclines. Explore caves and look for fossils along the hiking trails. Bring your smart phone with GPS and try a little Geocaching too.
Scenic Areas
Scenic areas are located throughout the park. The Buttonbush Scenic Point provides a vantage point to see evidence of the past in the fossils. Take a short hike to the Ammonite Scenic Point, a rock overlook above the lake were fossil beds can be seen below. Look around at the tall bluffs and you may spot spiral-shaped ammonite fossils fused into the surrounding limestone. The Snailseed Overlook is named for the nearby fossil bed. Watch closely for the schools of striped bass in the waters below. Lover’s Leap offers a vast scenic view of the lake where the Washita and the Red Rivers come together.
Geocaching
There are now 10 caches for you to come hunt out at Eisenhower State Park. Geocaching is a fun way to get outdoors, connect, and add some adventure to your day!
