The Sherman Museum today announced that it will resume extended Spring/Summer hours beginning March 5, 2016. The Museum’s new operational hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month. The primary change will be that the Museum will again be open on Saturday.

“We had to cut back our Saturday hours due to cost-cutting measures. It was not something we wanted to do, but it made sense financially,” noted Dan Steelman, Museum director. “I’m glad we are able to reopen on Saturdays.” The resumption of Saturday hours is timed to coincide with spring break week for local schools and with the opening of a new permanent exhibit at the Museum, Texoma Time Traveler. “We’ve been working on Texoma Time Traveler for a while now. We are excited about the exhibit,” said Steelman. Texoma Time Traveler will take the visitor on an interactive tour of the Texoma region from prehistory to 1865.The Sherman Museum is located at 301 South Walnut in Sherman, Texas.
